Frequently asked questions
- What's the difference between the two modes?
- Weighted average tells you your grade so far based on completed work. Score needed on final tells you what to score on one remaining exam to land on a target grade.
- What should weights add up to?
- Usually 100% across the whole course. If you only enter completed assignments, the 'remaining' tile shows how much weight is left for upcoming work.
- Can the score-needed result exceed 100%?
- Yes — and when it does, the target isn't reachable with this final alone. Pick a lower target or talk to your instructor about extra credit.
- What if the result is negative?
- It means you've already secured your target grade — even a 0 on the final keeps you there. We display 0% in that case.
- Are my grades stored?
- No. Everything stays in your browser tab.
