GoWin Tools

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

GoWin Tools (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates a collection of browser-based tools accessible at https://gowin.tools. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Overview

GoWin Tools is designed to work without requiring accounts, logins, or personal data. Most tools run entirely in your browser.

We follow a privacy-first approach:

  • No personal data collection
  • No user accounts
  • No storage of user input on our servers

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store:

  • Personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • User-generated content (text, files, inputs)
  • Financial or sensitive data entered into tools
  • Login credentials (no login system exists)

Your data remains in your browser.

3. Local Browser Storage

To improve your experience, we use local browser storage (localStorage / sessionStorage). This may include:

  • Recently used tools
  • Tool preferences
  • Workflow progress
  • Usage counters
  • UI settings (e.g., sidebar state)
  • Optional copy-attribution preference

This data:

  • Stays on your device
  • Is not transmitted to our servers
  • Can be cleared at any time via your browser settings

4. Anonymous Usage Analytics

We may collect limited, anonymous usage data to improve the product. This may include:

  • Which tools are opened
  • Which workflows are used
  • Basic interaction events (e.g., tool usage, navigation)

This data:

  • Does not include user input or content
  • Does not identify you personally
  • Does not include IP tracking or fingerprinting
  • Is used only to improve functionality and user experience

If analytics is not configured, no data is collected.

4a. Microsoft Clarity (Session Replay & Heatmaps)

We use Microsoft Clarity to better understand how visitors interact with our pages — which buttons get clicked, where layouts confuse, and which tools struggle to load. We use it strictly to improve customer experience.

How we use Clarity, and what stays private:

  • All input fields are masked. Anything you type into a tool — text, numbers, files, passwords — is hidden from session recordings. Clarity sees it as a blurred placeholder, never the actual content.
  • Your tool input is never transmitted. Clarity captures click positions, scroll behavior, and page structure — not the data you enter.
  • No identification. Sessions are anonymous. We do not link Clarity data to any account, email, or personal identifier.
  • Data is private regardless. Clarity data is used only by us, only to improve UX, and is never sold or shared with third parties beyond what Microsoft requires to run the service.

You can read Microsoft Clarity’s own privacy notice at learn.microsoft.com/clarity/privacy-statement. If you prefer to opt out of session-replay tools globally, most browsers and privacy extensions (e.g. uBlock Origin) block Clarity by default.

5. How Our Tools Work

Most GoWin Tools features:

  • Run entirely in your browser
  • Process data locally
  • Do not send your input to our servers

Some features (such as sharing links) may involve standard browser functionality, but your tool input is never transmitted by us.

6. Third-Party Links

GoWin Tools may include links to third-party services, such as:

  • Payment platforms (e.g., Buy Me a Coffee)
  • Code repositories (e.g., GitHub)

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites.

7. Data Security

Because we do not store your personal data on our servers:

  • There is no central database of user information
  • Your data exposure risk is significantly reduced

However, you are responsible for managing your own browser data and device security.

8. Children’s Privacy

GoWin Tools is not intended for children under the age of 13. By using this site, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

9. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete from our systems. You can:

  • Clear local data via your browser settings
  • Stop using the service at any time

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
